Summer Exhibition | 20 Artworks by Ioanna Efthimiou

This summer, CHORA Mykonos is honored to present a curated selection of 20 artworks by Ioanna Efthimiou, one of the most distinguished Greek painters working today. Efthimiou - born in Perth to Greek parents - studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts, graduating with honors, and continued her postgraduate studies in London and New York.

Her career spans more than fifty solo and group exhibitions across major cultural capitals, including London, New York, Monaco, Vienna, and Athens. Her work has been showcased at institutions such as the Royal Festival Hall and the British Embassy in Athens, and she has participated in international art fairs including Art Monaco and Art Takes Times Square.

Efthimiou’s portraits - vivid, expressive, and often rooted in pop cultural iconography - have earned her global recognition. Notably, twelve of her portraits belong to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, while a major body of her series Ob longing II is part of the Moroccan Royal Family’s collection.
